A combined booster for three infections that remain a risk in many parts of the world.

Book a travel clinic appointment

Diphtheria, tetanus and polio are all covered by the routine UK childhood vaccinations, but protection fades over time. For travel to many parts of Africa, Asia, South America and Eastern Europe, a booster is recommended if your last dose was more than ten years ago.

The vaccine

One combined injection, which also serves as your tetanus booster.

When to have it

At least two weeks before you travel.

Side effects

A sore, sometimes swollen arm for a day or two is common.

Your pharmacist will confirm at your consultation whether this vaccine is recommended for your trip.
